One day at a time

They say when one door closes another one opens. But they don't tell you when. And for someone who likes to plan and have everything in order, ready to go, its driving me nuts. It would be nice to have a routine again.

Hayden is potty training, well sort of. He knows when he has to go but chooses not to head to the potty seat. He is helping me get the apartment in order so it looks more like a home and not a storage closet. Might have to do some garage sales or ebay. Maybe after being here for 3.5 years, we should "move in". hehehe Here are some pictures of Hayden.

Finally!

As some of you may know, when I was young and stupid, I never finished my Montessori training. In fact, I moved to Georgia with only 2 weeks left to complete. Yesterday, I drove up to Michigan and received my certificate from the school. Now I'm just waiting on the official one from AMS to be sent to me. Finally I have finished. Maybe now I can get paid more since that was the reason I get paid so low. Yes I know I'm a teacher (why we still get paid crap for educating the world is beyond me) and we get our summers off, but living on $850 a month after taxes is getting ridiculous. So maybe next year will be different if not here, then somewhere else. The next task (besides potty training Hayden *sigh*) is to get started on my Masters in either early childhood education or education administration this summer. Hayden and I went to celebrate last night at Friendley's. Chicken fingers and fries are the best kind of party food. His kids meal came with these funny glasses that he had a ball with. Glasses with handle bars, who would have thought!

The Beginning

First day of school

Well, I guess this is the "thing" now. This could be a good thing since "Hayden's firsts" are written in different places that I can not find. Hayden started toddler school on Feb. 2 and really loves it, so much so that he left me high and dry the first couple of weeks with a wave over his shoulder. I was thankful because not only was it easy on him, but easy on me, no crying hehehe Of course, when I dropped him off last Wednesday, he was crying so I had my first cry. I couldn't get out of the building fast enough. Hopefully, tomorrow will be just fine.
